Microsoft has made some really dumb UI decisions in Windows since XP. LOL. the only way to do the OS update after updates have been downloaded is to select Start -> Shutdown -> Install updates and shutdown New state of my mind - frustrated. Like it or not, Win8 has also the Metro interface, and updates for apps that run under the Metro interface appear only when logging into the "Store"!
