Unplug all USB devices, network cords, firewire, HDMI, etc and then try to do a restart. I Have now gone through THE WHOLE install process ...booting from cd changing first boot in BIOS setting i changed to,and pc said it needed to re-boot but failed to do The drive itself is not the cause as I have the same problem after installing a new drive.
