After finishing the process I restarted my laptop and it showed the following on the screen:2016-07-03 16:28:55.195 Phase 0 : Starting Watch Dog Initialization :2016-07-03 16:28:55.382 Phase 0 : Loading Config. When I open the remover and it searches for avg files on my laptop, it asks me to check the things I want uninstalled and before it had three check boxes It works best when attempting to recover from a bad update, a faulty driver, or corrupted file. Learned that lesson long time ago.
I then rebooted into 'normal' set up, and the system restore message was there saying it had not completed successfully, so I started it again. I use AVG antivirus. Are you able to restore any of the backups? The only other type of computer that I have at my home is a Mac.
I don't have a recovery disk (though I know I could make one), but I'm not sure what to do if System Repair won't work and System Restore doesn't help. Again, searched for solutions.
