That made my hard drive to go to GPT Partition. I recently acquired an 1 GB USB memory key. I am having the same issue and I just downloaded and searched through TweakUI to do the click thing and I can't find the drives to click or unclick....Help? I have 4 USB slots and I have tried them all with the same results.

Like others, it would not show on 'My Computer' though it showed as 'working properly' in Device Manager. something is up with vista. If the computer still gets signal from the harddrive it indicates cable malfunction.Replace cable should fix the problem. Run recovery program and you might be lucky like me to recover 2 years of kids photos. At first it wouldnt recognize the SSD, so I unplugged the other two drive to load the OS.
I have to go to Device Manager and run a new hardware scan, then it will be recognized and I can use it.
